While there is still plenty of summer produce available, this is the last week of the season for My Dad’s Sweet Corn and they only have white corn. Other vendors may still have corn in the coming weeks, but MDS will be done for the season after this Saturday.
We saw a resurgence of radishes last week along with grapes, late raspberries, rhubarb, cabbage, beets, sweet potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, pears, and of course lots of apples and peppers. Tomatoes, squash, green beans and eggplant are also abundant.
There were also green grapes and Asian pears at Nujac Gardens, Mutsu Crispin and Fuji apples at Lee’s Orchard, corn dolls and Indian corn at Compean & Sons, three kinds of soup at Earthly Delights, new fall flavors at Lick Ice Cream, salad turnips, nuts, and broomcorn at Weathered Plow, Swiss chard and canning tomatoes at Funny Bone Farm, and gallons of cider at Wild’s Apple Farm.
Roamer’s Plant Power will be with us and bring their new Superfood Mix. Add it to smoothies, shakes, and breakfasts for a nutrition boost — full of protein, fiber, good fats and minerals. They’ll have free smoothie samples for shoppers this week.
Also joining us on the 1st Saturday of the month are Circle City Kombucha, Circle City Smoke, Hidden Pond Farm, Trailhead Naturals, and Turchetti’s Salumeria. Don’t forget that Turchetti’s Deli is now open for lunch on Mass Ave.
Dickinson Woodworking is back this week and Nicey Treats returns with their motocycle cart and new fall flavors.. Walking Waffles and JP Parker Flowers are both out for the season. As we said, it is the last week for My Dad’s Sweet Corn.
